The Secret to a Strong Heart: The Science Behind Regular Exercise
Regular exercise is powerful medicine for your heart. It lowers cardiovascular risk, improves blood pressure, and optimizes cholesterol. Your heart will thank you!
By Erika Reyna · · 1 min read The truth is, the scientific evidence is so convincing that it’s crystal clear to me: regular physical activity is absolutely essential for my cardiovascular health. I’ve read in American Heart Association studies that moderate exercise not only lowers my blood pressure, but also improves my HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels and reduces my risk of coronary heart disease, stroke, and type 2 diabetes.
What I love most is that it’s not all about high intensity. I know that even walking at a brisk pace for 30 minutes a day, most days of the week, can make a substantial difference in my life. For me, the key is consistency and finding an activity I truly enjoy.
